Social Studies Boomerang

Over the last week, my class and I have been making boomerangs because we have been learning about Migration. We had to do some research about what the indigenous people of Australia used to kill animals so they could get food with. We learnt about the designs and the purposes.

1. Explain the purpose of the activity?
The purpose is to see how they would throw the boomerang that would kill/ injure their prey and to learn about the indigenous people
2.  Explain the story on your boomerangs, including the meaning of the colors
I chose black and white because throughout night and day, they continue to work, to harvest their crops or make their houses
3. What went well when painting your boomerang?
Using all of the different colors to make it unique
