Black Mirror Review

In the airport there is lots of different bright colors
They use a ranking from 1- 5 stars basing on how good the encounter was
Lacie (the main character) keeps getting ranked lower for doing nothing
Lacie meets a nice old woman that drove her as close as she could to Port Mary
Lacie gets a call from the bride in saying that she doesn't want Lacie to come because of her ranking
Naomi (The bride at the wedding) tries to get rid of Lacie because she is a 1.1
Lacie gets put in prison because she was trespassing at the wedding

Music is used effectively when Lacie is put in prison

A high angle is used to make Lacie look weak

Cave Drawings

1. My cave drawing is a bunch of stick men to represent my family and I.
2.  It is important to me because it is my family, they are important to me because they keep a roof over my head and feed me.
3. My design fits in with traditional cave art because they sometimes used stick figures to represent the people in their tribe.

Understand the importance of setting to a film

Understand how symbols can be used to add meaning to a film

This weeks work is about the symbols

The symbol I have chosen is the three finger salute that is used to represent Hope & Rebellion.
I am learning: about symbolism in the Hunger Games
This shows my learning by: I have created a paragraph about symbolism.
I am wondering: how the directors decided on what symbols to use that would make the movie unique.

The three finger salute.
Image result for three finger salute hunger games

In the Hunger Games symbols are used to create effect and make people engage to find more hidden symbols. The three finger salute is used to show hope and rebellion, which is between the capital and the districts. In this photo that i have used it shows us that Katniss is doing the three finger salute which then makes District 11 angry because it is done after Rue's death in the arena. After District 11 sees Katniss do this, they start a riot and throw baskets of rice and other things towards the peacekeepers (The capitals soldiers). This salute makes us feel sorry for District 11 because they have lost one of their tributes (Rue). This scene also makes us sorry for what has happened to Rue's family and friends. This shows us that Katniss had made a friend but then that friends died. Which motivates Katniss to win even more.

New vs Old Technology

I have created this slideshow to show the difference that we use now vs back in the day. I think that nowadays it is a lot easier to get things done because of the technology that we have at hand. This is because technology has improved the way we help treat people if they are sick. Washing machines are useful so we can wash our clothing. Phones help us keep in contact of people, cars help us getting around when we need to buy things and computers to help us search up things when we are unsure about things. These three examples help us in our everyday life and we have adapted to using these.

Jam Drops

- Teamwork aspects
At the beginning of the practical we started off on a rocky start, then we started to become more a team. The skills that my team and I showed was good near the end because we started to get to know each other,. I think that my team and I could have a lot of improvements such as having better communication, not getting in each others way, measuring out the ingredients.

- Products/ Outcome
My team has said that they were good, cooked well. The staff members that got to try some of our Jam Drops said that they were cooked well and they were nice and crispy on the outside, and soft in the middle. In my opinion I thought that the Jam Drops were very tasty.

- Next Steps
I need to start using my initiative to help out my team when needed. I also need to get better with measuring because i'm not the greatest at it.

This the outcome when we pulled them out of the oven.
This is what they looked like when they were in the oven.
